If you check your website, it may come up with:
Many websites use Google fonts from their library for the typography of the website. There are few ways to load Google fonts in your website, one of them is, standard head link.
This technique is quite popular but its main disadvantage is blocking page load while font is loading. In Desktop, it may not be noticeable but in mobile devices it can significantly increase page load time and negatively affect user experience.
Web Font Loader
Another technique to load Google fonts without affecting page load performance is to implement Web Font Loader script. Web Font Loader is a joint project between Google and Adobe, so along with Google Fonts, Typekit fonts will work with that script.
Web Font Loader loads the font in background while browser can load rest of the page. Compare to standard head link technique, it doesn’t block or make browser wait to load other elements. For users, your page looks like loading much faster.
